Sulun Arms new modernized version of the Alofs magazine system developed in the 1920s by Herman Alofs. It was designed to be attached to any break action shotgun as a cheaper alternative to the pump/lever action shotguns of the time but was a commercial failure and the original examples are very rare in today's market.I'm sure there's a shotgun system similar to this, where the bullets are also loaded parallel but below the barrel, and when you pump, the bullet slides up and pushes the spent cartridge out, taking its place. ----------. But I just realised this mechanism OP posted is amazing because it's likely an addon to single shot rifles. Pretty amazing mod.
